Michigan Man Distracted By Spider Crashes Car Into A Ditch

(WWJ) Weather, road conditions, a ringing phone, even the sun can cause a car crash, but here’s a new one: A man driving northbound on South Good Harbor Trail in Leelanau veered off the east side of the roadway.

He crashed down into the ditch through heavy brush before coming to rest against some trees at the bottom.

When the Leelanau County Sheriff’s Office sent deputies to respond to the crash in Centerville Township in northern Michigan, he told them a spider caused the crash.

Naked woman found on top of fire truck at Battle Creek station

BATTLE CREEK, MI -- Battle Creek Police are investigating why a woman was found naked on a fire truck inside the Capital Avenue station Wednesday and how she got there.

When firefighters woke up around 6 a.m. July 19, they found the woman lying naked on the back of a truck at Station #6, 2401 Capital Ave. Her clothes were found inside the station.

The woman was taken to Bronson Battle Creek Hospital for evaluation, but left before giving her identity or any other information to police.
