I'm only going to the game this week for the 50/50 raffle. This is not a program game or even an exciting game. It's a game between a young average team and Iowa. It will bring in a .003% share in television ratings. I will buy 40 dollars worth of 50/50 tickets. I think I have a good chance of winning this weekend.

Well let me ask you this. You’re an OC. You’re an ic of a program that has won major championships on major stages against outstanding teams. You’ve not only put qb’s into the NFL, but you’ve produced one of the NFL’s very best. You turned a defensive back into one of the best running backs in the league and you’ve hung 34 on an OSU team down in Indy that nobody thought could be beat.

My thinking is that plays have a better chance of success by doing the opposite of what the defense expects and 2nd and short can be a free play to exploit that kind of advantage

It helps to watch the game though. We had five plays where it was 2nd and short (less than five). Two were passes for first downs one was LJ running for a first down one was Lewerke not seeing the field and having to run for a one yard gain and one was London for a no gain.

So five second and shorts, three passes, two successful one scramble. Two run plays one for a first down and one for no gain. Since we threw on three of five and picked up a first on one run play are you saying he should have called something else on the London no gain? OK. Yeah we should have thrown the bomb.

The plays that worked were fine, dwags, but we should have done the opposite of what we tried on plays that didn't work.
