That Dutch speed skater race was amazing. American had the lead but the Dutch skater took the last turn so well for the lead.

That was pretty crazy. They were basically tied on time going into the last turn and the Dutch dude came out 5 or 6 lengths ahead.

Here’s the thing- someone basically threw a flag at him while he was celebrating like immediately after and I think still holding a fuckin snowboard. Anyone that has the audacity to complain that, in one of the biggest moments of his life, he had the audacity to let it hit the ground some needs to get the fuck over themselves.

I feel bad for the Shibutani’s it’s clear they try to avoid romantic elements in their routines for obvious reasons but this puts them at a disadvantage. Technically they are brilliant but their is clearly something lacking. It’s crucial that a routine has that passion and romantic tension to it. Savchenko and Massot’s gold medal winning performance had the sizzling passion that the audience wants!
