My computer is stuck in eternal update. What should I do today?

Thread title says it all. I’ve been sick for a couple days ( I finally got that flu) and I get back and turn on my computer and it’s going through an update which has now been happening for an hour. I’m just chillin. Any cool stuff going on? Already checked my brackets. Now I’m twiddling my damn thumbs.

Go buy a new computer.

The company I work for supplies the computer. It finally finished. I read the NYT. Thanks for all your help.

Assuming Windows? I had that update a couple of weeks ago. I didn't even mean to have it start updating, and then it did and I couldn't work (except from my phone) for a couple of hours. I don't mind that Windows does the updates, but when it's a huge one that's going to render your computer unusable for more than 15-20 minutes, let alone over an hour, they need to fucking let you know that.

Get a chromebook. I quit using my windows laptop for the same reason, that effer seemed like it was constantly updating.

Weird. Second Tuesday of every month like clockwork. Unless there's some other out of band update from [cough] Adobe Flash [/cough]  that's about all it should be doing.
