I would be in favor of hornet and wasp free games. I am not allergic to them but they are a pain in the ass for tailgating.

I wasn't aware that the mere presence of a peanut could actually cause a bad reaction for some people. I thought they had to be in very close contact with it or actually ingest it.
If so, that doesn't seem like a very pleasant life at all where you have to constantly be worried that there is one measly peanut somewhere.

Hyper exposure is the cure. They should have games where its peanut everything. Peanut brittle, peanut butter sandwiches, peanut oil fried peanuts. There should also be a flyover at the beginning where peanut dust is dropped on the crowd. Peanut allergies. Pussification of merca.

Seems a bit odd to me that some dad called the athletic director on behalf of his college aged son.

I was just about to post in the "Bad taste" thread..parents who don't expose their kids to shit in the uterus and as babies aren't doing them any favors.
This has to be a cycle of nature intended to weed out the weak. If we don't let this run it's course, the fucking peanuts are going to win in the end..
The same goes for the gluten allergy BS. Jesus we're becoming a society full of whimps.

Peanut allergies in kids tripled from 1997 to 2008. Clearly we as humans are doing something wrong.
My generation got normal diseases like chicken pox and measles. Kids today can't eat peanuts. I'm glad I grew up in an America where I could eat peanuts.

You go that right. Kids need to get out and mingle with other kids, suck on some dirt, and generally get exposed to the world. It's that simple.
And a few of them could stand to get smacked upside the head with a dodge ball on occasion, too. Toughen those little bastards up..

That's great and all guys, but wtf is that we are doing wrong to give all these kids peanut allergies? It's obviously not as simple as the mom eating a peanut during pregnancy. It's fun to talk about the pussification of 'Merica and today's youths but pretty sure those kids who have near fatal peanut allergies don't want them.
Don't know wtf the answer is, all I know is I feel really bad for those parents. Having to worry about something like that all of the time would really really suck. I thank baby Allah my kids are allergy free.

was on an international flight a few weeks back and they said they weren't dispensing nuts as someone on board was allergic..
and, as a good, respectful American who values life, I was like "what the hell - since when did their right to live trump my right to eat what I want to eat"?
can't believe the direction this world is heading.. Thanks Obama.

Prolly the same thing with Autism. Something is fucked up in the atmosphere now to get all of this shit hitting the fan at the same time. Prolly aspertame or someshit. Pussification isn't an illness.

That's right. You have to flex through your allergic reactions.

Re: Peanut-free games? (and so it begins)
I used to get dragged home by my Dad when I'd have violent raging Hay Fever attacks when I was younger than 10. Then I used to go out and bale hay all Summer and then move it again in an enclosed barn, fighting off attacks again and again through those years. My parents were sympathetic but urged me to keep at it and push through the attacks if I could..even then they were telling me that it was "for my own good". I thought they were just evil fucking human beings.
Now I can go out into a field of pollenating grass that surrounds me all through June, and continue to mow my grass and be outside all the time. I'm basically cured. It was miserable for a few years there, but I'm glad the allergies worked their way out of my system.
Allergies tend to either get worse or better, never standing still. I know some people can develop allergies to muscles or oysters, etc and it is usually people that ate them by the bucketload when young.
It is all kind of fascinating, but in a small way, I suspect a lot of allergies could be "cured" by some systematic exposure over time coupled with care for the huge outbreaks/attacks.

With how fast peanut allergies and autism are increasing, in 20 years it's going to be super fun being the one normal kid in a class of 30.
