Drinking hot coffee outside on a hot day

I sat outside at Starbucks on Squirrel last night for a couple of ours with an iced coffee. That's better.

Iced coffee is anathema to everything that makes America the greatest country in the world. Drinking iced coffee so close to our Nation’s birthday? Sad!

Was headed to work on a warm humid morning a couple years ago.  Had all the windows down because my AC needed re-charging.  Pulled up to the Starbucks drivethru order box when it hit me.  "Why the fuck am I ordering hot coffee on a hot morning?"

Cold water with crushed ice is way better.

I switch to ice water after the Doubleshot. But, I prefer cubes because they melt slower. Reuse the Starbucks cup for the ice water.

Here’s a pro tip for you pantry.... the ice is fuckin free. Get a venti double shot. Then say “give me a bag full of ice while you’re at it.” Transfer the coffee to a secondary cup, put ice in it. You don’t get hosed on caffeine volume and you don’t have to get charged extra for something that’s otherwise free. Win win.

I just saved you like $0.45 or whatever and I expect appreciation.

Look, boomer dipshits... none of this is all that complicated. You’re fucking yourself by going to a coffee place to get an iced coffee. It’s really that simple. 22 ounce cup that could be full of coffee or 22 ounce cup that is full of coffee and water. Think about it for a second you aging wastes of space.

If they would give you a tea in full sized cup but you could get some ice with it I’m sure that would be just as acceptable.
