You can still pay respects to a guy who was a war hero, pow, etc. You can still be opposed to his policies for the most part and pass on good wishes Especially to guy who seemed respectful in an environment full of douche bags. I checked. You can do it.

I don't recall that. He opposed the MLK holiday, which was wrong - probably was a womanizer early on, which I don't condone. I disagree with him more than I didn't.

but I'm sorry that you have a problem with me thinking that, even with his faults, he was an American hero.

The fact that republicans are attacking an American hero as he receives admiration across the board from every other aspect of society tells us all we need to know.
