I've seen parents who kids are so fucked up (because of how they've raised them) that they've reached the point where the HAVE to give the kid what they want to avoid disasters and meltdowns. Still co-sign on auto loans, register snowmobiles and four wheelers in their names, put insurance in their name, etc. They truly fear the repercussions, self destruction, and collateral damage over the idea of telling an adult baby, no.

I honestly believe that Fauci and Birx, publicly, will measure their words when it comes to Trump, because they know that they can do more good in their positions than if Trump puts Ben Carson or some other sycophant in their place. Which, let's be honest, we all know that he would do. Fauci and Birx long pre-date Trump, and you know he didn't even know who they were 5 months ago.

She was ASKED if the media has been unfair, and she did not say that they had.  Her response was clearly not about Trump specifically, but about sensationalist headlines (because she didn't want to say what you're falsely accusing her of saying).  For those that didn't see it, she said (and I'm paraphrasing, but keeping the content accurate unlike Bob) that everywhere she's worked in the world, and most of it being in Africa, in her experience, the media is "slicey and dicey" with their headlines, even when the reporting in the article is accurate.

Perhaps what bothered you so much is that she was basically talking about the media doing what you do all day, the way that you constantly misrepresent what people say for a quick post/headline.  And she was talking about people like you when she said that unfortunately a lot of people don't read the articles, just the headline.
