Or just, don't go home? I mean, are their scholarships pulled if there is no football? Kicked out of school? Banned from living on or near campus?

If you were going to be so safe, then why change what any of the players were going to be doing anyway? There aren't more risks if you don't play. None of the safety protocols you were going to do (except MAYBE testing) need to change just because there aren't games. And the testing was only going to be necessary because of the close contact that they were going to have due to playing.

If we made testing readily available and had a national plan that everyone bought into we could have sports. If you test people and isolate the ones that are sick the virus will vanish quickly. At the rate we are going this will take until 2028 until we get back to pre 2020 Covid America.
