Yes, as someone who said last week that all games should be cancelled for this past weekend, Inhave revised my opinion that last week was the only week that should have been played.

In all seriousness, I think it would be better to not play, but I understand that it is really difficult not to, especially when other sports are playing (yeah, yeah, unpaid athletes, but still).

Since we as a country haven't taken this virus seriously (no tBin), it is hard to say that sports should be such an exception.

I don't really get boycotting watching games on this moral stance unless you also boycott outside the pandemic, since the same concerns (health/safety, unpaid athletes) exist then. But that's just my opinion, to each their own.

I stopped watching CFB in December of 2019. I did not watch a single bowl game or the CFP, including the Pinstripe Bowl. I didn't watch any CBB after the UM @ MSU game in the first week of January, including MSU in the BTT. I just didn't have it in me anymore; I wasn't feeling it. Playing during the pandemic made it worse. Taking a break is a choice I made. It applies only to me. If Pylon wants to call me out, I shouldn't get so agitated, but I certainly don't question anybody for watching and I shouldn't be so smarmy about it before getting called out by Pylon.

I'm torn, I was against it from the onset but the data on heart damage is encouraging. Other side of the coin the national strategy (at the time) appears to be to lets all go for herd immunity. I don't agree with it but in the current climate at some point or another every business is going to have to get it going to make revenue.

Also, I'll say it again pay the damn players. These kids are incredible and they are worth every penny.

I only have so much bandwidth to care about things enough to form an opinion on them. At the end of the day some things are going to get to the cutting room floor and I’m not going to make a decision on a stance at all. They are playing and no one cares what I think about it, least of all me.

Pretty much this. My opinion on this topic and other corona related topics changes and shifts quite a bit. Testing changed, info changed and at the end of the day there are people more qualified than me to make that decision.

IMO the BIG fucked in their timing of the cancellation, not necessarily the cancellation itself. Same with their restart plan/schedule. But overall they seem to taking the opinions of doctors and science very seriously (at least in the BIG).

And yes, pay them.

I think enough schools will play fast and loose with interpretation that they will slog thru the FBS series. It’s no coincidence that Ohio State and umaa were reportedly the Bg Ten schools to supporti Nebraska’s attempt to replace Wisconsin with Tennessee-Chattanooga last week.

That being said, those 3 games for the National Championship* (*for COVID) will be the only post season games TV gets.

I don't think they should. But no matter how loud people complain , they are still going to do it. What I think means nothing. I am going to watch and cheer while it is on as what I do or don't do makes no difference.

I believe that this year does NOT count against eligibility. Or maybe it is just that it counts as a red shirt year if players have that available.
