Solar flare coming Tuesday morning 2:00 A.M. We gone?
Supposed to be the biggest since the 1800’s. I guess maybe disruptions to radio and GPS. Oh, and it just might melt the atmosphere and burn us to a crisp.

Back in my radio daze, we’d have to pay special attention to our satellite programming twice a year, when solar flares were at their worst. It would start with a little static that got worse and worse. Eventually, it would peak with small blocks of dead air. Kind of a pita.

Maybe that's what happened to my stereo receiver. It went zzzzzt pop a couple weeks ago. It's in the shop now.
