even his own family doesn't support him....
Caution: Mainstream Media Link
A broad coalition of the Kennedy family endorsed President Biden on Thursday at a campaign rally in Philadelphia, pointedly rejecting one of their own in Robert F. Kennedy Jr., the independent candidate who many Democrats believe poses a significant threat to Mr. Biden’s re-election chances.

just when you think the republicans/libertarians can't outdo themselves, they prove you wrong. From the office of "You Literally Cannot Make This Up", the "Freedom Caucus" gives us the Floor Action Response Team.
Caution: Mainstream Media Link
Conservatives in the House Freedom Caucus are signing up to take shifts to monitor the chamber floor in order to prevent their own party leaders from making unilateral moves that could curb their power.
The Freedom Caucus’ Floor Action Response Team, shorthanded as “FART,” aims to guard against an unannounced request to pass resolutions that would stealthily limit their leverage against leadership, according to two Republicans with direct knowledge, who were granted anonymity to speak candidly.

"We" made our choices clear in the primaries.
I don't think much of Trump, however, "Sleepy" just got a major foreign funding bill passed with a bipartisan vote in the House.

Trump was totally against it before he saw it was going to pass (after Johnson's visit) with or without him, so he flipped and is hoping no one notices.
Don't know where the "loan" part of the bill originated but yes, Trump did promote it, so he does get a small amount of credit. (pun intended and he needs all the credit he can scrounge to pay his bills)
The Trumpyest of the Republicans in the House voted against it, that pretty much tells where Trump was.
As for the "loan", it is forgivable, just like all the PPA loans that all those Trumpy Republicans in the House took and didn't pay back.

Just in case anyone is interested. Trump is planning on leaving another small town in Michigan holding the bag for his campaign security.
Getting ready: Former president Donald Trump is scheduled to visit the MBS International Airport in Tittabawassee Township on Wednesday, May 1, for his 2024 presidential campaign rally. Officials are preparing for a crowd of nearly 10,000 attendees, nearly doubling Freeland's population. Here's a look at how the small town plans to manage the event.

Is 10k of a crowed all that much?
I guess that given the airport is out in a sugarbeet field managing parking of maybe 4000 cars & trucks and traffic management is the biggest issue.
Saginaw, Bay City & Midland are the big population centers. People from Midland will either come south on 47 or go east on US 10 to Garfield, people from Saginaw will either come north on 47 or west on Freeland Road, and people from Bay City will come south on 84 & west of Freeland Road or West on US 10 to Garfield. Some fanboys from Flint & further south will shoot up I 75.
It probably will not be much more disruptive than an fatal accident on I 75 on a Sunday afternoon in the summer.

The airport is tiny. Like 4 flights a day to Detroit or Chicago....
Sister in Law who lives in Auburn (10 min north) is a total Dem. She signed up for 2 tickets and got them. She's bringing her high school age son for shits and giggles. He was concerned they would get beat up. I told him they don't know what you are actually thinking, just refrain from yelling at him in rage....

There aren’t too many presidents in my lifetime, , Who I wouldn’t go to see if I was fairly close and it was at a small venue like that. Regardless of Party he’s an historical Figure and it’s a good deal going to see him. She’s doing the right thing.
, However, might be the only president that I personally would pass. I completely understand her, taking her son. He was a president, it is history, and he’ll be able to say he saw the president

I would think that most people who live in the area would consider it rude to get in fights over politics. All the fights I saw growing up were over more personal interests.

Id venture to guess the vast majority will travel in... The thumb, north of Midland. (But south of "up north")

Although just with name recognition Mike Rogers will be a strong candidate for the Michigan US Seante seat, the fact that he hasn't been a Michigan resident for years and is still registered to vote in Florida should give some pause.
