Sissoko has only been called for a total of 234 fouls in his four years at MSU. Obviously not all of those were illegal screens. This post is a blatant lie. How can we ever trust you again?

The Age of ESPN sports reporting means creating controversy.
To have former UConn player Diana Taurisi and full time Paige Bueckers promoter agreeing with Scott VanPelt “They should just let them play” was farcical.
In that world all rules regarding fouls unless it’s fouling the shooter in the last 10 seconds should be ignored.
Hell of it was UConn was called for illegal screens in every quarter prior to the last one.
The UConn PF moved her foot, leaned and extended her left elbow initiating the contact with the Iowa defender on the last one.

Side note: it will always be weird that the national anthem is played at sporting events.

Should we be getting upset that abc keeps showing Jason Sudeikis? I don’t know how these faux outrages work.

First you have to find someone to be upset on behalf of.

Re: Caitlin Clark
South Carolina had a 6’7” center they had guarding the perimeter and they went 9 deep.
For Iowa to win they needed Clark to score her 30 and have breakout games of 20 from 3 other starters.
Iowa’s lack of depth wasn’t a factor with UConn dressing 8. 3 of Iowa’s starters played all 40 minutes while South Carolina spread minutes among 9 with 14 minutes or more.
Depth coached well is tough to beat.

Not a bad few days. Great SNL appearance and #1 overall pick. Former Detroit Edison star Rickea Jackson went 4th overall.

I saw on the news that her Prada outfit from last night is equivalent to 1/4 of her total 1st year salary in the WNBA.
Related: I didn't even know the WNBA season was going on until the playoffs last year.

Sometimes people with high public profiles are loaned clothes by designers for the marketing exposure.

Clark going number 1 may be the biggest no brainer is the history of professional sports drafts. And not necessarily because she will be great in WNBA ( I think she will be) but rather because she's Caitlin Freaking Clark

I think Prada got way more than $15,000 worth of publicity from her wearing that outfit last night. Just think about I’m a 62 yr old white guy, Who doesn’t wear much but shorts and jeans all year. I’m talking about Prada today. I don’t know what an advertisement on television cost for that shindig last night, Prada got way more than $15,000 worth of advertising
Also, the Indiana fever, filled their stadium last night to watch this on live screen
This phenomenon has to somehow someday someway starts slowing down. There is no way she can keep this type of popularity up. They sold out Most of their home games, Her jersey was sold out within 15 minutes, all sizes.
In my life, I have never seen something like this going on. Not even Muhammad Ali.

There are bunches of women who were never interested in professional sports who suddenly have a favorite player.

she's 63 years old, 24 years as head coach at Iowa. I don't think Iowa women's hoops is gonna catch lightning in a bottle or capture America's attention the way it did the last season or two.Floyd Robertson wrote:Robert J Sakimano wrote:Lisa Bluder - Iowa women's head coach - announces retirement.

Lisa Bluder is 64. Good time to retire. She was 24 at her first HC job.
24 years at Iowa plus 10 seasons at Drake along with 6 seasons at St Ambrose (NAIA) that was her first HC job.
