It was on BTN special after the game last night. Cook wanted a chance to win the game but Dantonio gave the ball to Maxwell.
Did they show the play where it looked like Cook hurt his throwing arm, and he came off the field favoring it?

They showed an interview with Dantonio with direct quotes on his decision.

I already responded to your post earlier in the thread saying I wanted to believe he was injured. I suppose you can go with the angle that both Cook and Dantonio are lying.

Hypothetically, if you were a head coach...would you want to publicly say that your QB might have hurt his throwing arm?
Hypothetically, if you were a QB...would you tell your coach you could play (even though you may have been slightly hurt)?
Not hypothetically, do you recall the play where Cook came off the field favoring his throwing arm? If you don't, that's OK.

Hypothetically, suppose the interviews were conducted months after the season ended. Not hypothetically, you could watch the show yourself. But if you don't and just want to make up your own narrative that is ok. I will choose to believe the actual words of the coach and player but that is just me.

So, you don't recall the play? It's OK if you don't.

Whether he does or not, he's had the rigth call about not putting in Maxwell. Maxwell went three and out. It lost the game for us. Get it? He was correct. That's the part you're missing. He was correct, never should have put him in. Herbie was dead balls correct. Just ask him. So you're missing the essential argument here. Herbie evidently texted his grandmother and said "not maxwell". Nobody on this or any board can say he wasn't 100% correct. He was dead balls on. I was sitting there watching those three plays not knowing. You were. Dantonio was, the receivers ran their routes, the linemen blocked, but only one man and his grandma already knew. The end amen hallelujah!!!

I remember it like it was two days ago when Cook injured his leg.

At least unlike you I could still get it right after the fact. You were trying to toot your own horn for saying the coaches always would play the best player. You couldn't even win that argument with yourself.

Looking back on it now, it does seem silly. Of course, I remember watching the first game and thinking he should put Max back in. Texted grandma and everything.

Sounds like we're all more inclined to speak to grandma about football than each other.

You needed to talk to her when BW was the coach. She has been dead for years now.

I didn't.
Did you text your buddies during the ND game to tell them that Maxwell gave MSU the best chance to win? Or did you wait until a year later to provide them with that analysis?

Nah, I was waiting for your text. You've stated, that you "Get it right after the fact". Your acumen for football and the knowledge you regale us with after the fact will be refreshing to read from here on out. TIA.

Im sorry, did I say something about Bobby? What I love about these things is that you can read anything you want to in a thread, even if someone didn't come close to saying it. Meh, Not the first time, won't be the last.

Re: Connor Cook
Love this Rexrode quote:
Watching Cook play with such confidence and pull teammates aside on the sideline and chest-bump them after touchdowns was a reminder that, yes, it is strange he isn’t in MSU’s leadership structure — especially since he was in the spring.
Maybe he did something to get bounced. Maybe it was more about others passing him. Cook is not like predecessors Kirk Cousins and Andrew Maxwell, who made Boy Scouts look like ruffians.
