Archie Bunker on Gun Control. 1970's version.

Just give em to everybody.

Archie Bunker: One of the Greatest of our "Greatest Generation." And probably the most effective propaganda campaigns ever conducted. He was the original ignorant, impotent, dumb, racist old white guy that had to be exposed, marginalized and eliminated, thankfully, by aging and death. So cleverly was his heritage, identity and world-view mocked, that those mocked didn't recognize the deliberate and serious nature of the attack; indeed of the demonization- while they too laughed at Archie not thinking themselves to BE an "Archie".

Yes- Archie Bunker brought the era in which the TV patriarch had either to be Firebrand champion of liberal causes, or 1) a moron, 2) an ignorant racist 3) both a moron and ignorant racist. This was all done to embed guilt into the souls of whites and especially into the consciousness  of the type of person deemed responsible for hate, racism, sexism and homophobia: The White Male.
