I like it. in most cases stripes are a good way to let other people know that they're not at your level.

Cut it to 100, SeeRock. However you want to do it. If somebody whines about being demoted, we can have a vote to let them back in (or NOT).

Unless, we want to go to 50.

I don't see the point of the super Geronte class, those that haven't participated get demoted, that's the way the board was set up and all those people knew that.  I see no reason to try and spare their feelings.  Besides, I really doubt they care all that much anyway.  I don't see a problem with that.  I was a Spartiate and somewhere along the way I was changed to a Geronte, I presume because I was a regular poster.  I don't see why it wouldn't work the other way.  Also, I don't see the point of sending them emails to warn them.  If they they are at least lurking then they will see this thread and decide if they want to post to keep their status.

I agree with the 100 limit though. We can always increase it later if board traffic picks up.
