Yeah, but take it in context.

Sorry, but working 30 hours a week isn't working full time. Working 30 hours a week is what keeps the FTE numbers looking good.

When I first heard this, I thought this asshole wanted me to be working 60+ hours a week! Then I heard him talk, and it was a bit more rational than that, but taken out of context. Basically he said that he wants people that are working part time, to have the chance of working full time and getting full time benefits. In no way am I a republican, but after hearing him explain what he actually said, it wasn't as bad as I first thought.

He's just walking back a quote that he knows is bad. This is a current repiblican strategy. Listen to Scott Walker, who will probably be the nominee. He makes it clearer. The idea is to give people the "choice" to work more than 40. The "choice" to not have a day off... followed by the "choice" of potential employers to ask "how do you feel about working 7 days a week" and hiring based on your answer. So it's not really a"choice" is it? This is the continued degradation of what unions fought and some died for; working conditions that respect human dignity and the allowance of every person to have a job AND a life, instead of the job being the life so that fat cats can get fatter. Fuck the right.

He did say they needed to work more hours, in other words to jump from part time to full time. As I said earlier there are millions of people working part time that want to work full time. So yes, that doesn't address the unemployed directly but it does address the underemployed. It makes sense that once those people are working full time more jobs will open for the unemployed.

I don't have a lot of sympathy for people who choose to quit looking for a job.

Agree. Work weeks should be seven days. You can use vacation days for time off, but I do not think people should get more than 14 days per year. We are so lazy in this country.

In 1986, Peter Davies was on holiday in Kenya after graduating from Louisiana State University .

I'm in the Sanders camp, I'm middle class and he's the best candidate that represents my interests. Wealth distribution has funneled to the top 1% and he's the only candidate that has a plan for this issue.

I just hope he can energize the millennials to get out and vote in droves.
