It's the only thing organized. Probably has more meaning. Either has a daughter or from childhood, maybe the only good memories. More sad than creepy.

Hippie is a single mom, never married. Dad probably has custody due to her drug/drinking habits. Probably has a hairy bush. 

Dolls definitely passed on generationally. Those are from her mom or grandma. No way a chick that disheveled takes to collecting dolls on her own and keeping them that perfect on a top shelf somewhere.
