Serious post.

My wife is a special education teacher in Traverse City.... One of her students was diagnosed with brain cancer last year, has had surgery to remove the tumor, and has been getting his ass kicked in Grand Rapids = chemo treatments all summer long.  He's a 9 year old boy with a single mother for a parent.  I probably shouldn't post this because I'm not legally allowed to be privy to this info, but he is also autistic.  Anyway, I thought I'd post this here just for the sake of promoting the cause.... My wife started a gofundme for him and organized this mom-to-mom sale which is taking place on Saturday to try to raise some money for them.

If you are the charitable type, this kid and his mom could use some help.  Thanks for your consideration, and please treat this thread with respect.  You may rip the ever lovin hell out of any of my other threads, I don't give a damn, but this one, I would hope, is off limits in that regard.

Appreciate it man. My wife is having a pretty difficult time with this, and I just want this to go well so badly so that this can be a success for Evan and his mother. The financial thing is one thing, and as if being a 9 year old autistic kid wasn't enough of a challenge... to be going through something like this at his age and mental condition (chemo after having brain surgery, week after week after week) is another. Things like this make me count my blessings.... and then triple it....

If I can get some money together (currently on disability leave, so the funds coming in BLOW), I will definitely be donating for him.

I have been trying to get this to do something on twitter and message boards and shit for 24 hours now. I thought maybe it would do a lot better than it has been. I'm a little dissapointed, to be honest. I got Max and Riley Bullough to retweet. I got Delvon Roe to retweet. I got a half dozen local news personalities up here in Northern MI to retweet, but it still isn't really taking off like I thought it might. I'm not pissed or anything, I was just trying to help my wife out here because this thing means a lot to her. I can only do what I can do, I guess, eh?

I'm considering putting my OSU tickets up for "auction" with all proceeds going toward this.
