Agreed it should've gone to MSU. Hate playing UVA, though, because they're a talented, well-coached, disciplined bunch of Hoos.

This. I haven't seen UVA much this year, but Bennett-ball is always in danger of an early punch out.

Getting snubbed from a #1 seed is a joke. But I'm going to complain about having to play in St. Louis/Chicago.  I'm not going to pretend to know much about the teams on our side of the bracket, but I wouldn't want to play Purdue again or Iowa State. Looks like they gave us a pretty cush sweet 16 bracket and kept us as local as possible.

The East is an absolute death bracket.  GL to anyone surviving that thing.

Honestly, it is more of a curse than a blessing understanding the game of basketball. Have you guys been watching a lot of Virginia games this season?

I thought back to the 2014 UVA game. MSU punished UVA in the paint. It was all Dawson and Payne, especially Dawson. I think he finished with 20+ points and 10+ rebounds. This makes sense. UVA stretches you out and makes it difficult to score away from the basket. You will have some opportunities in the paint if you can make the passes. However, last year it was all Trice and Dawson. MSU's inside game was actually weak by comparison to 2014. Trice carried MSU past UVA with his 23 points and 50% shooting from the 3pt line. In those two wins, MSU probably combined for less than 25 assists but they got it done. This year UVA has to be especially mindful of MSU's shooting game, an excellent passing game, and a good inside presence.

People get worked up about UVA because of how disciplined they are and their defense. They slow the game down and prey on mistakes. They are good at making everybody watching really nervous. Beating them is a matter of execution and limiting turnovers. Guess what? That is true of every opponent. It is just a little more important against UVA. This is where Izzo's insistence on being disciplined pays off. MSU is just as equipped to beat UVA this year - maybe more so - than the past two years.

I wanted to avoid KUs and UNCs bracket and avoid having a sweet 16 matchup with either Kentucky or WVU. Ill take it.

Hers hoping UVA plays a god awful physical draining game against Purdue in the Sweet 16 before they get us...assuming we take care of business.

Dayton in the second round will be tricky.
