Students working with Michigan State’s Campus Archaeology Program this summer unearthed part of the cobblestone foundation of a 142-year-old observatory in a clearing near a student residence hall, the university announced this month. The site of the building — Michigan State’s first observatory for astronomy, dating back to 1881 — will become a dig site next summer for the university’s undergraduates and local residents to practice archaeological techniques right on campus.

The math is out of my league but one of these guys is now at MSU college of Nat Sci.
Don’t despair. Khuri and three colleagues — Sven Hirsch at the Institute for Advanced Study, Demetre Kazaras at Michigan State University, and Yiyue Zhang at the University of California, Irvine — have released a new paper that brings us closer to determining the presence of black holes based solely on the concentration of matter. In addition, their paper proves mathematically that higher-dimensional black holes — those of four, five, six or seven spatial dimensions — can exist, which is not something that could confidently have been said before.

If they used √(-1) in their proof, I remain skeptical.

Yup. They can't explain magnets, but they can do all this? Yeah, right. Fake.

Most of the board is probably in favor of being higher.

Michigan State University is launching a free-tuition program for some high graduates starting with the class of 2024.
The Spartan Tuition Advantage, announced Monday, will cover the cost of full tuition for Michigan high school graduates who have a family income of $65,000 or less and qualify for Federal Pell Grants, awarded to students from lower-income backgrounds. The student is guaranteed free tuition using a combination of federal, state and MSU aid.
Students do not need to fill out a separate scholarship application for the MSU program, but must fill out the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) to qualify. It costs about $16,000 in tuition and fees for an in-state undergraduate student to take two semesters of classes during the 2023-2024 school year.

Wow!
The amazing performances are those which show tremendous strength in small moves that look simple. Some of her moves while moving around while not doing the flips take amazing strength & control.

I've always found gymnastics scoring to be very confusing, like having two #13 teams for instance.

I recognize that this is primarily the kool aid talking, but I have full faith in 6-8 wins in year 1. The staff has brought in a lot of talent at key positions, and they have a proven track record of developing talent. We'll beat the teams we're supposed to beat this season.
