I cried today.
Luckily my daughter had left so didn't see me being a big sap.
Sort of feel bad posting this now after Doc's post - but I guess it's semi-related. He's now going to
have a couple of kids to raise as their only parent.
Today was my birthday even if none of you sonsabitches care.
Heard from my sons and saw one of my daughters in law and their kid. They're all coming over to camp for a long
weekend starting Thursday so I'll see them all soon.
My daughter and SiL came over tonight with the other grand kids to see me. It was nice.
My daughter left me a card that killed me.....
A little background, I raised my kids from ages 4 months, 18 months and just over 4 years old. A single parent with a lot of help from my
family but in reality the only parent any of them ever knew. Now 25-27-30, with the daughter being the youngest.
Anyway - Handwritten in the card:
Dad,
When I was a kid you were my hero,
I wanted to be just like you.
When I was a teenager I thought you were my enemy,
Out to ruin my life and make me a "loser".
Now that I'm an adult,
You're my rock, my friend.
I couldn't ask for a better Dad.
I mean that.
I love you.
**********
I cried like a baby. Makes it all worth it - for Doc, anyone else that has kids or might have them someday.

Em, my wife must be cutting onions in the hotel bathroom.
Happy birthday to a hell of a dad. No, hell of a human being.

Happy birthday loose.
Not sure how you survived. I have my one daughter once a week for a night and I'm exhausted.

Thanks guys, love you all - really. 56 years old and it doesn't seem real at all.
I still think I'm young until I realize how many years ago things happened. Time
flies, enjoy life while you can.
PS Beal99 is tomorrow, he's not been here for months but we should celebrate for him.
Also have a couple more coming later in the month.

With your age stated starting to feel a little weird thinking you were older. Hit 57 a couple weeks back. Forget now if tanfan is a year older or younger than me. No longer sure who's the crankiest old fuck here.
Regardless, OTPT is a dweeb punk that stated more than once he would like all us old farts dead, and can suck a bag of blanch's fat GF's vaginal oozage

My greatest hope in life is to earn a card like this one day from my children. Congrats man, you did it.

You and WBH. Hopefully you're not going to find out you're married to the same woman.
As I said in a thread a couple weeks ago - tell them all you love them.

Thanks again to all of you - I know it was sort of a brag but as Floyd stated it, I was a pile of goo. Not had one of my kids put it quite like that before.

So it's fair to assume you harassed her on Internet message boards when she was a teen too.
