I don't even have to pay rent to live in that guy's head. Awesome.

Nope, I sort of drifted away from drinking 5-6 years ago. As I get older I'm shedding vices
almost by accident.

This. Helps with pain. If you have all those pies around and are torching how do you not weigh five hundred?

Thus my plan to give pies away. Most of them are out of this house with 24 hours of clearing the oven.

Belated happy birthday, that card is awesome. My kids are still nice to me because I'm remodeling one's kitchen and the other wants me to buy him a new cell phone.
Only kidding (mostly), it's satisfying to see them figure it out.
That makes you, Pantry, Tan and me all contemporaries. Pantry, one of these days have to figure if we know anyone in common.

Was on the way home from work yesterday and came to a cross street with a stop sign in the sub. Tahoe coming the other way had stopped about the same time. No traffic so we proceeded through the intersection. While doing so noticed a Spartan logo placed in the center of the grill bowtie. Caught me by surprise. Realized after passing it was either WBH or the wife at the wheel.tTy wrote:WhiteBoyHatcher wrote:Happy Birthday LG. My wife's is tomorrow. Great story.
Dude. Seriously. Change your fucking avatar right fucking meow.
Happy Birthday to WBH's wife!

3B Armstrong, and 3rd floor in Abbot. Knew a bunch of people in Holden sophomore year, in fact a guy I ended up rooming with was a suite mate with Morten. Most of my friends were asked not to come back to the dorms
Did you know any Pie Assassins? I knew several of them, as well.

Re: I cried today.
5 East was the only non-coed floor in Wilson freshman year. Our side of the elevator lobby was told we'd have to relocate the following fall because the floor was finally going coed. Bunch of us signed up for 5 West. So many memories I could still write a book. Even have a Morten story.I.B. Fine wrote:The Pantry wrote:Spent a year on 5 East and a year on 5 West Wilson. Got friendly with a chick at Holden that was in the MSMB...played flute in HS but transitioned to color guard (carried the Purdue Big 10 flag junior & senior years). Went over to Holden late one weekend night to visit. Her roommate answered the door and said she was over on the brother floor. Took a walk over there and discovered her giving Morten a back massage. Was pretty pissed at the time but it's all kinda funny now.

Sort of feel bad posting this now after Doc's post - but I guess it's semi-related. He's now going to
have a couple of kids to raise as their only parent.
Today was my birthday even if none of you sonsabitches care.
Heard from my sons and saw one of my daughters in law and their kid. They're all coming over to camp for a long
weekend starting Thursday so I'll see them all soon.
My daughter and SiL came over tonight with the other grand kids to see me. It was nice.
My daughter left me a card that killed me.....
A little background, I raised my kids from ages 4 months, 18 months and just over 4 years old. A single parent with a lot of help from my
family but in reality the only parent any of them ever knew. Now 25-27-30, with the daughter being the youngest.
Anyway - Handwritten in the card:
Dad,
When I was a kid you were my hero,
I wanted to be just like you.
When I was a teenager I thought you were my enemy,
Out to ruin my life and make me a "loser".
Now that I'm an adult,
You're my rock, my friend.
I couldn't ask for a better Dad.
I mean that.
I love you.
**********
I cried like a baby. Makes it all worth it - for Doc, anyone else that has kids or might have them someday.
So it's fair to assume you harassed her on Internet message boards when she was a teen too.
