I'm ambivalent, the only thing that irritates me is people like Dropped mindlessly parroting TanFan. That it's "5 people" here, at the time he said that there had been 46 people here today - on a weekend.

Almost immediately is not immediately. Personally, any new message board that I find that I want to post on, it's typically because I'm reading and become interested enough to want to join the conversation right then. Making a new account can take long enough, but to then also have to wait at all to make that post, I would just go somewhere else. This board is not good enough right now to be able to make new users wait and still have them stick around.

As far as bannings, there have been two permabans, which, over a two-year period is miniscule for a public forum. And the two lerma bans were pretty much unanimous.
