It's not a recruiting thing any more. It hasn't been for awhile. This board is almost 2.5 years old. People know it's here, and it's an alternative. They have an open invitation.

I have to laugh at one comment I saw, though, that said they want a board that functions, as if this one doesn't function a zillion times better.

The thing is floyd, the only people that know it's here are rcmb. We ain't workin with much. Maybe if we had some outside advertising. Softly, of course. But then again - you would then be working with spartanmag and scout or whatever. Pretty different crowds! I would appreciate all of their information and knowledge though.

I don't really care. I like it here fine. The only thing anyone could argue that's better about the other place is they have more traffic. And I guess we let Bob post here. For the most part this board is populated with posters with one screen name. I post on both and can say the personal attacks and trolling often comes from a few individuals with multiple screen names.

If growing this place is a goal then open up Spartiate or let new membership begin as helots. After 30 days / a minimum number of posts change them to Spartiates since its tough for trolls to keep up a facade for any length of time.

I PM'ed an RCMB member telling him to give this place a chance and cited being able to rid this place of bothersome Moose and other troll species.

My guess is if The Swill would attract 50-60 RCMB regulars, Trevor and 247 would magically start fixing some of the things that folks are bitching about.
