Saban is 100% correct and I was taught the same thing. If you want to quit, you quit at the end of the season. Taking your ball and going home because things aren't going your way is a pussy move and the kid was not raised right. If it was my kid I'd tell him your staying till season's end, unless there was some kind of abuse going on. Poor parenting and this kid is setup to fail.

You are acting like Nick told him to go beat his dog. This has nothing to do with Nick or Nick telling him what to do (but that is what coaches do). And yes Nick is a GIGANTIC asshole. But this not the reason the kid quit.

This is about a self entitled kid that quit midway through the season because things were'nt going his way. He quit on his teamates. Teamates that he trained with all offseason prepping for a championship. The idiotic part is he probably would of been needed/used to help the team accomplish that goal at some point. But he has been told all his life how great he is and when things didn't go his way, he quit In the long run Alabams and any team is better of without kids with this attitude. Hopefully the kid grows/wakes up, otherwise he will continue to fail in life.

Don't disagree. No problem with kids transferring. But to do it midseason (so he can try to play somewhere else next year) is the sign of a quitter. He quit on his team, something he signed up for, for selfish reasons.

We don't know what went on inside that program and any of us who played coached and are parents agree no way would we quit or let the kids quit till the season is over, but I'm getting so tired of collegiate athletics. Six year seniors, transfers after you've played four, kids coming to school with zero academic tools to just play "We ain't come here to go to class". Recruits demanding personal chefs coaches pulling offers at the last minute Whatever, I hate it and I love college football. I'm disgusted by so much of it and I'll be glued to the tv today. I still remember when freshmen couldn't play. Times have changed. Let everyone get stabbed in the.back I guess
