Didn't get enough airplay. Jan Hammer before Miami Vice theme music fame. Again, remember exactly where I was first hearing it.

It's sad that this was ever considered acceptable stage garb.

Bar none, my favorite live band, but I must say, JG didn't look the best last time I saw them.
RIP

The thumping bass of Mel Schacher.....
No band sold more tickets or albums in the early 70s - they don't get their due.

Still can't believe that Kingston said Television's Marquee Moon wasn't a hit.

it was all that stress of being a fake band, put together so that the beatles could anonymously record and put out new music.

Yes, I know this was released in 1969. But fuck it, I'm rounding it up to 70. Plus every time I watch this video I'm entranced by Floyd's dance moves at 0:45 - check it out and wonder no more how he humbled others on the dance floor.

Re: Post a 1970s hit song:
I think Rod's best performance of this song is on "Unplugged & Seated" but can't find that on the Youtubes....so you get this version of Danny Whitten's classic.....
Danny Whitten was the original guitar player in Crazy Horse....and the subject of this song.
Paid with his life in November of '72
