Just read Couch’s article on him. Seemed like a good four year player. Whatever I’m more excited about seeing Xavier Tillman improve next year.

Tom sure can get the big guys in, that's pretty sweet. Question would this guy be a one and done?

This player doesn’t seem especially excited about MSU. The article left me with the impression that he liked how UNC and others are now interested.

A hint here on why Weems may have fallen in love with DePaul:
Louisville attorneys: Rick Pitino thought DePaul offered Brian Bowen $200K, but he kept recruiting him
Louisville attorneys: Rick Pitino thought DePaul offered Brian Bowen $200K, but he kept recruiting him
Attorneys for the Louisville Athletic Association characterized Pitino's legal arguments that he was not heavily involved with Bowen as "directly contrary to the evidence obtained thus far in discovery," according to the Courier-Journal. One text revealed is particularly damning, which indicates Pitino was aware other programs were trying to pay Bowen for his commitment.
"DePaul was trying to pay Bowen 200k to come there. Crazy world!" Pitino texted his then-assistant coach, Kenny Johnson, on June 2, 2017. The text was sent one day before Bowen pledged his loyalty to Pitino and Louisville.

Yep, my friends in that district have said some stuff. Certainly not damning, but interesting. Being that it’s just second hand gossip about a 16 year old kid, I’m not repeating it. Because all of it can be explained. Whatever. It’s a professional game at that level now.

Michigan State among four finalists for five-star PG Josiah James
The relatively quiet recruitment for one of Michigan State's highest-rated prospects took a step forward this week.
Josiah James, the five-star guard from South Carolina, has set a final four schools of Michigan State, Duke, Clemson and Tennessee, according to the Moultrie News newspaper.
The report also states that James has a visit set up for Michigan State in October, following visits to his other three finalists in September.
James (6-foot-6, 198 pounds) is rated the No. 12 player in the country and the No. 1 point guard in the country in the 247sports composite.
He's garnered plenty of attention from Michigan State this summer, after the Spartans offered him a scholarship in April. James' father played for Michigan State under Jud Heathcote in the late 1980's, when Tom Izzo was an assistant.

Anyone making a big deal over that dunk never saw Wags play in HS.
'Freak of nature athlete' Chase Hunter has Michigan State in his final five
Darron Rogers has sent more than 30 players on to Division 1 basketball during a two-decade career as the head coach at Westlake High School in Atlanta, where he's won three state titles.
When asked to place his rising senior guard, Chase Hunter, among all of those players, Rogers doesn't hesitate.
"Chase is the most athletic D-1 guard that I've had," Rogers said.

I made sweeter dunks at George Fox’s house with Earvin Johnson watching.
We were in jr. high and it was barely an eight-foot basket.

And all the setups will end with Izzo saying “And then he went to Duke.”
