y'all watching the "debate" tonight?

obviously, I don't watch that garbage.. but I suspect it'll be fun scanning right wing/mainstream media talking points tomorrow. They'll probably look something like this:

1. Hunter Biden Corruption The Focus Of Dem Debate
2. CNN Fails To Ask The Hard Questions
3. Dem Candidates Try To Out-Socialism Each Other
4. Report: Elizabeth Warren Once Drank Water From A Paper Cup, Kicked Puppy
5. Dark Cloud of Impeachment Hangs Over Dems, Provides Trump Path To 2020 Landslide

mainstream media talks about Democrat candidates and "Trump Derangement Syndrome"...

Fox News - A dozen Democratic presidential candidates continued their race to become the left’s most favored socialist when they debated Tuesday night. Once again, the debate stage showcased a lackluster group of extremist politicians pandering to their far-left base of support with harmful policy proposals that are way outside the mainstream.

makes them sad when people say mean things about their hero. The 2020 Presidential campaign. - Page 11 502811600

Serious allegations against the Bidens are being whitewashed by a biased mainstream media that has gone headfirst into the dishonesty tank during the Trump administration.

The impeachment witch hunt led the discussion because the Democratic Party has no positive agenda. All the candidates reminded viewers about the partisan nature of the baseless impeachment inquiry against President Trump by rushing to judgment before getting the facts. It’s become clear that impeachment is being pushed because desperate Democrats can’t defeat Trump at the ballot box in less than 13 months.

Washington (CNN) - Former Vice President Joe Biden offered a forceful defense of his son during Tuesday's Democratic presidential debate, saying voters should focus on President Donald Trump's "corruption" instead of Hunter Biden's previous work in Ukraine.

I suspect the mainstream media didn't ask about the racist, bigoted christian sexual predator's mutant children and their conflicts of interest.. The 2020 Presidential campaign. - Page 11 2599972566

from something called "Axios"..

Biden's best moment was a fiery exchange over Medicare for All, where he was the moderate and Warren was the leftist activist. This yielded fodder to help the Trump campaign label Warren as a socialist. Republican officials tell us that's their most resonant message against her.

and, of course, why wouldn't the mainstream media give him an assist the morning after? The 2020 Presidential campaign. - Page 11 502811600

oh, one more thing.. apparently the CNN debate spent over 20 minutes talking about George W. Bush and Ellen Degeneros.. because, you know, that's really important. The 2020 Presidential campaign. - Page 11 502811600

A question about Ellen DeGeneres and former President George W. Bush’s friendship drew the ire of Democratic presidential candidates and viewers alike following Tuesday night’s debate hosted by CNN and The New York Times.

(for the +20 minutes reference, here is some mainstream media tweet.. I'm assuming it's accurate - huge assumption, I know - but maybe they were being facetious. Regardless, we all want to know what candidates think about a Hollywood talk show host - The 2020 Presidential campaign. - Page 11 502811600 )

Conservative strategist Chris Barron told Fox News that the debate was harmful to candidates because liberal moderators were so easy on them.

“CNN is actually doing a disservice to the Democratic candidates and to Democratic voters by refusing to ask tough questions of the front runners,” Barron said.

Never thought I’d see the day where David Brooks would tell fellow party members to vote for Elizabeth Warren. He’s right though if it comes down to Warren vs Trump it’s the right call.

No question about it. He’s really picked up in the last month or so. He’s been getting a lot of interviews on and been profiled on some pretty big news platforms. His fund raising is way up and he’s gaining in polls. Still a long ways back but who knows.

I question Brooks judgment when he goes oohhh I brushed aside Trump being a terrible human with Authoritarian complexes. Really Brooks, you missed that? I'm tired of the obvious I was wrong from Republicans.

Just a few off the top of my head:

Shitting on Teachers- I was wrong now we have a national shortage of good teachers.
Iraq war- wrong
Deregulation of banks-wrong
Patriot Act- wrong
Gays are human?- wrong
Installed Saddam as the leader of Iraq- wrong
Bail out the banks but ughh give any life to the Auto Unions- purely partisan politics even though I think going through bankruptcy was the right choice.

While it may not be responsible for her to discuss it, she’s probably not wrong. Jill Stein is a known Russia collaborator, so I actually believe the former SoS is likely trying to let Russia and Gabbard know that they are not fooling anyone. What she probably wants more than anything is to prevent a 3rd party peeling off votes for Trump’s opponent.

Is it known that Stein collaborated? The BBC article I posted mentions that they worked to support her candidacy, but seems to be silent on whether or not she was in on it.

I'm also curious what, if any, evidence there is about Gabbard. I believe Travis has mentioned before that she's generally shitty anyway, but I would be interested in reading more if there's actual evidence to support what Hillary is saying.

Regardless, Hillary should not be the one saying it. Find a new messenger whose mere existence doesn't poison the message.

On Stein, she was at the same state dinner with Michael Flynn at Putin’s table. That may not prove anything but all the intelligence folks I follow seem pretty confident in saying that Hillary is safe to say that she is or was in Russia’s pocket. In other words, it seems like there’s more there that’s not public knowledge yet. What is public knowledge is that her campaign was pushed and promoted by RT and other Russian interests and her percentages in Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, and Michigan were all greater than Clinton’s margin of loss. Tulsi is different. It’s all about her pro Russia, pro Assad actions in speech and in voting. I don’t know if there’s classified info that goes deeper, but the pattern is so similar to Stein, it sure looks like a similar Russian ploy to peel off Dem votes.

People are fucking stupid.

Hillary only 'poisons the message' if you allow that to be your standard.

I choose not to believe the mainstream media/GOP narrative of Hillary being some devil woman while exalting the racist, bigoted christian sexual predator.

Agreed, most of what Hillary said in 2015 and 16 was vilified by the press and later proven right. I'm willing to give her the benefit of the doubt this time around.

it's how misogyny and the 'ol boys network works.. take an outspoken, bright, independent female.. then ridicule, be dismissive, pat them on the head and tell them to go get you a cup of coffee. Those of us who have these sorts of strong women in our life will tell us that they experience it every day.

but, as history has shown and will continue to show, Hillary was 100% accurate with regard to her assessment of the the racist, bigoted christian sexual predator. Racism, bigotry and misogyny is a heckuva a drug and the GOP/Russia and mainstream media knew it and played (a certain percentage of) the American electorate like a drum.

I know there's no point in engaging you on this, you have blinders on for all of Hillary's flaws.

But my point wasn't about my own perception, and certainly not yours. It is inarguable that a non-negligible percentage of people won't trust anything Hillary has to say on any topic. If there are candidates that are supported by and/or collaborating with Russia, that's something the public ought to know about, and we ought to have someone less polarizing than Hillary getting the message out

the people who "won't trust anything Hillary has to say" are like that because they are beholden to decades of the GOP and mainstream median demonizing her. She's only "polarizing" if you buy into their narrow, myopic portrayal of her.

but, yeah, we can agree to disagree on how you and I view her. You're still a great American. The 2020 Presidential campaign. - Page 11 969504605

100 million voter eligible Americans did not vote in 2016

Is Biden still in the lead? Haven't looked in a while but every time people claim he's in trouble I look and he's still in the lead.

Bill Maher is a piece of shit and I’d appreciate it if you people stop ever watching anything he does ever again.

Big news today.

Can't say I 100% agree with the decision. I'm not opposed to ads that pass fact-checks, but this is far better than Facebook's approach to not policing any political advertising.
