I think Joe is batting about .100% which isn't very good but one out of ten episodes is worth a listen.

Listening to full episodes is where you go amiss. I'm all about the clips.

Re: The 2020 Presidential campaign.
I emailed a candidate during the recent elections running under the R flag. Response. It's not that difficult. Have some fuckin balls. More of this. And have the balls to back it up on the record, rather than just in an email.
Thank you for your question.
This is a difficult situation right now. I am first a Spartan and second a republican. I am a fiscal conservative and a social moderate. So, there are republican issues that I support when it comes to taxes, the size of government, and federal spending.
However, President Trump does not represent the type of personal character I would have chosen in my Président.

What did he actually vote for in his previous experience wbh? Lots of republicans say lots of words then fall right in line so it means nothing.

Re: The 2020 Presidential campaign.
I totally agree Trav. I'm sure he voted for Orange Monkey.
One of my good buddies, grew up in a very Conservative Oakland County family, but he's smart. Up North (not UP) this summer, on the boat. We were all commiserating about the current state of affairs. He agreed. And he said yeah, I voted for him. Would you vote for him again? He said No. Absolutely not. He's an idiot and a clown. So some of them get it at least. I can't believe there are ~ 40% of the voting population who don't.

Trump basically bailed out his base with farmers and now is planning a huge wall. I'm not sure outside of Taxes what that guy would back.

I don’t get conservatives. Most people I know are saying their taxes went up thanks to Trump and 2 trillion has been added to the national debt. This is republican policy in action.

Bernie’s fundraising is off the charts and he’s starting out on the attack saying if Hillary had let him run we wouldn’t be in this mess. His age is a big question mark but he’s looking like a force to be reckoned with.

Re: The 2020 Presidential campaign.
Right now, pragmatically, Joe Biden is who I think should get the nomination.
If I could know that the democrats could take both houses, and that somebody like Sanders or Warren could get elected even though they are pretty far left, I'd want one of them to get the nomination, but realistically, even if the democrats get the senate (which they really could), I'm really skeptical with our electoral system, that a professedly left presidential candidate could win. Hate of Trump is not enough.

Yang 2020
His son had just died. The same one that was in a horrible car accident with his wife and baby daughter when they died. Dude has seen some shit. He planned on running, but didn't have it in him at the time. give him a break. Also, I said pragmatically. Yang, at least now, is completely unknown to the majority of Americans.

Biden is going to have a hard time with some of his past accomplishments. He was a major proponent for mass incarceration in the 90's and the world is moving towards prison reform.

Is it a requirement for a candidate to have been right on every issue throughout their past?

Certainly not, but there's a lot of clear indicators it is likely to come back to haunt him.

On twitter and by extension message boards? Yes, 100% it’s a requirement. In the real world where people vote? Honestly I don’t know the answer. My hunch would be no. I guess we’ll find out.

Doesn't seem like it's a requirement to be right on any issue in the past or present.

Honestly for 2020 my entire mind is made up. I'm going to vote straight ticket Dem. I've also reached an absolute wall with DJT and find there's really not much left to say about him. When people are like can you believe what he did? My answer at this point is 'yeah'.

I guess the only vote I'll really have to think about is the NYS primaries. At that point I'll go through the field and pick one. The 2016 media circus is still fresh on my mind and I'm not really interested in following 2 years of hot takes from the DC press. The dems in disarray, pochahontis and her emails narratives don't mean shit to me at this point.

If his or your family has an annual income of $200K to $500K that’s salaries, are paying a mortgage and taxes on a home valued at $400K+ and lives in MI there’s chance taxes will be more because of the $10K max deduction limit. If you have 1 or more cchildren who are 18 you have lost that deduction.
I have found it fascinating that Republicans are always talking how we can’t afford to take K-12 and Federal higher ed spending to where it was pre Reagan and deficits were the evil bogey man in the closet until Dec 2017 when Trump signed the new tax bill. It’s great for Trump and his family. Great for the Top 10 who will never need Medicare or SS but for the other 90 % bend over because Trump is proposing per capita cuts across the board.

Read up a bit on Beto. I love his attitude. He also seems quite humble and like he stands for the right things. Very normal. Probably too normal. He is definitely inexperienced though obviously so was Orange Douchebag. But do we need someone who is that green? I don't know.
