Re: The 2020 Presidential campaign.
Sanders coming on strong last couple of months and Warren on the attack.
Looks like Sanders will win Iowa and finish in the stop in New Hampshire. Then comes Nevada and South Carolina where Biden should win.
March 3rd is Super Tuesday. Will be interesting to see how Bernie does in Califonria. If he can actually expand the younger voter turnout look out. He's towards the top in California. I still think Biden wins it, I have my doubts that this guy can actually get young kids out to the polls but we shall see.

I think you can’t predict Iowa yet. The caucuses are a weird beast. Any one of the top four could win.

Yeah, just saw Biden supposedly jumped back in the lead. A few weeks ago Mayor Pete was a lock to win it.

I had not heard that cancer drop claim. There is nothing Trump won't lie about. Sadly, 35% of American will believe him.
Fact Check: No, Trump Didn't Cure Cancer
If I was fact checker, I'd just tell everyone, "look, whatever Trump says, the opposite will be true" and go on vacation for the rest of his presidency.

Bernie fans hell bent on making Warren out to be a liar. It's weird to watch them go on attack against a women when one speaks out about Bernie.

Bernie definitely has an internet mob. I guess good for him because it's probably necessary in a campaign. You need internet thugs to shut down your opponents on social media.

I still believe in polls, and I disagree. He's the most historically unpopular president of our life times. If dems expand their base (which should happen) in 2020 they win.

It's disconcerting that they attack the candidate the most ideologically aligned with him too. Most are definitely on a "team" ala trumpets.

We have a long long time before that is a concern. The damn primary season seems like it lasts decades after they start... and I believe it will be a season that will go all the way to the convention. Once the actual nominee's commercials come out, that is when this should be reassessed.

Did they do away with Super Delegates or can Hillary still get into this at the beginning of July and win it?

it's mind-boggling to me that people would watch these things.. they're not even 'debates'. They're just mainstream media manufactured events to pit people against each other so they'll have something to keep distracting America from until the next 'debate'.
America is a stupid country.

Looks like Warren is a Snake is trending on twitter and seeing a lot of male lefties like Shaun King and Michael Moore trash her in very long and direct posts about her. Thought we'd learn a thing or two about misogyny since 2016 but apparently not.

it'll take a concerted effort for Democrats to overcome the racist, bigoted christian sexual predator, the deplorables.. the mainstream media, Russia, the bots.. etc.Banks2Mason wrote:AvgMSUJoe wrote:

it can be done - but people are going to have to turn off their televisions and be more deliberate about how they get their 'news'.

Well alrighty then. Apparently you'd rather bring out the insults than you would have a discussion. Have fun in this thread all by yourself.

Re: The 2020 Presidential campaign.
The economy is in a state that normally would almost guarantee reelection. However the income gap, stagnant wages, and huge deficit are not normal for an economy that is so “strong”. There is an economic message the Democrats can go with that will be a winner. But they have to do it, and only Bernie and Warren are right now. This is going to be a slog guys. Anyone who thinks it’s vital that this guy get ousted needs to do more than just vote for somebody else. Gotta get involved. Contact your local Dem party or go to moveon.org, or fairfight.org or any number of other left leaning groups working to get rid of the corrupt son of a bitch. The numbers don’t look great. He still has a coalition, he still has a SHITTON of money, he still has Russia trying to help him win again. It’s going to take a big number to beat him. And think what a Trump unconstrained by another election will do. Just imagine it for a minute.

as you often say, bob, this is a stupid country.
that fact is that people essentially think that the DJIA is the sole measure of the economy and that the one guy in the white house is responsible for it, whether good or bad.
neither of those are remotely true.

I’m still on the Warren train, but I don’t like this row with Bernie. I think it hurts both of them. And Hillary getting involved doesn’t help Warren one bit because after vitriol, you get a bunch of butthurt people who refuse to vote for the winner.
