90th Annual Oscars
In a shocker I have not seen any of the best picture nominees. The best picture I saw in a theater last year was "Logan" . That movie was fucking awesome.

Shape of Water will win BP.
I wish Nolan would win best director but it’s going to be del Toro.

Other movies I saw in the theater last year.
Logan - obviously best picture
John Wick 2 - good but not as good as first one. Really upped the body count.
That Spiderman movie - alright not great. I was rooting for Michael Keaton.
Wonder Woman - Gal Gadot was great.
Guardians 2 - meh but Kurt Russell was good.
Thor 3 - forgettable except for Goldblum
Kingsman 2 - alright. Nice cameo by Sir Elton
Justice League - shit
That shitty Star Wars movie

I saw Logan on HBO. Depressing as fuck but solid. I had no idea it was rated R until bitches started getting knives to the face.

yeah, I can't imagine a world where I a) cared about an awards show or b) cared about anyone involved in an awards show.tGreenWay wrote:I couldn’t care less about awards shows, unless I have a shot at an EGOT.

Re: 90th Annual Oscars
The wife and I watched that today. It's ok. I was entertained, but I don't see what elevates it to Oscar nomination level. If there wasn't the race component, I don't think it would have been.Robert J Sakimano wrote:I saw some of "Get Out".. I didn't really care for it, so I took their advice.
I also saw Darkest Hour and Dunkirk in the theaters. Both movies occur in the same 30 day span, which is within my favorite portion of my favorite historical event.
Either way, I usually haven't seen more than 1 Best Picture nominee, but somehow I've managed to see three.

Years ago, I used to watch on occasion only to see hot women in sexy outfits. I agree that it’s cool for so many who are passionate about movies and films, the same way so many here are about music. Everybody needs a passion, and I’m jealous of all of you because I’ve yet to find mine. I guess travel would be the closest thing.

What happened at the end of Logan? I started it on a flight to the UK and landed in LHR before it finished and never bothered to finish watching it after my rental expired. I just remember there being a bunch of kids way out it the desert or something had taken some edibles before I got on the flight and slipped a gummy in midway I was pretty high when I landed.

What are they complaining about Bobbby Sack? I don't log into Fox News
Probably something about this diversity rider that's making the rounds. In other words, calling for at least 50% representation of cast & crew to minorities (women, POC, LGBT, disabilities).

their next step will be to talk about how low the ratings were... probably use words like "historic" or "abysmal".
as predicted.

So do you think it's a good idea to be casting blame on people who have only been accused of rape in light of what has been going on with the university? That's all I'm trying to find out.
