I’ve been meaning to watch don’t look up. Haven’t done it yet though. And I guess I’ve seen west side story, I mean, who hasn’t. But I haven’t seen the new version. I think the story is the same

It seemed way too awkward to be scripted. Rock looked stunned. Good job keeping his feet and getting through the appearance.

If they were going to do that as a fake, are you really going to have it be two black guys? That would just feed the racists and give Tucker Carlson something to talk about for weeks on end.

snap shot reactions from the crowd.
which would you be in a situation like that? I'd either be Matt Damon or the dude below him.
(oh, and Meryl Streep's reaction is the best)

Well, after all Meryl's been nomination 21 times and won three OSCARS. You kind of expect it.

Re: The Oscars
when Will Smith said something like "keep my wife's name out of your fucking mouth", from what I could tell, it looked like Chris Rock was just about to say something along the lines of "well, you might not want her to find out about that stripper I saw you with on Sunset Blvd".. to me, it honestly looked like he had some dirt on Smith and was very closing to disclosing it on live TV.
regardless, there is never a good reason to do what Will Smith did and had Rock not diffused the situation the way he did, it could've gotten very ugly.

Well, they can't really do a re-vote on the spot like that.kingstonlake wrote:Welcome to America! Where you can assault someone on live TV then get an award.
I saw something that the Academy may strip him of it, but I doubt it. Â Not after all the lead up where it felt like they were already giving it to him because he has been a major actor for so long and had never won, and after doing the whole boycott thing a couple of years ago.

it's been in gradual decline for a bit, but it seemed to accelerate when a disgusting piece of filth mocked a disabled person on live TV and a bunch of miscreants laughed and elected him president.

Will be? Nah. And there all kinds of reasons for that better suited for tBin.
I would like to think that Will Smith at least becomes somewhat of a pariah in the industry that no one wants to work with. But his PR people will have him do some emotional instagram video, and it will all blow over in a week.

I can’t wait until we can get into Disney movies. He doesn’t speak English yet so the talking parts don’t do much for him. As of right now, JJ would win his personal Oscar for best actor. Bingo gets best supporting actor

Is there history between (the) Smith(s) & Chris Rock?

I can still recite toy story 1, 2 and monsters Inc. word for word. Pretty damn close on Cars. The boys are 18 & 21. Be careful for what you wish for.Travis of the Cosmos wrote:Dendrobates wrote:

I recall there being a website that gave reviews of movies on two levels. One was for children watching it and one was for how much parents would enjoy it. I actually enjoyed some of the children’s movies like buzz light year lion king etc. We took the kids to the buzz light-year ice show at the Joe and the lion King play, both are great
