How many times had this happened to Izzo? Have a great team but a key player is injured.
Fuck whoever is going to say play the guys you have and they need to step up.

Cut down on turnovers, scored some easy buckets inside, and played good defense on Coffey.

I would imagine everyone wants to play well in front of Magic (the legend and NBA GM). Definitely a motivational boost.

While I think it's great that Magic was there to advise Ward, I don't think it should take this to motivate him. Magic didn't tell him anything that Izzo hasn't told him a million times.

Good analogy and I get it. But when Ward flirted with the pros the experts told him the same things Izzo was telling him.

For the people who think Izzo fucks with Ward's head I would say nonsense. He's trying to make him better and Nick sometimes simply doesn't get it.
