Woke up to 70 degrees at 6:30 post thunderstorms. At 1:00 AM it was 84 (heat index of 95) and the AC was cranking to keep the house at 75).

Looks like about 100,000 in Kent County don't have power and its supposed to get up to 90 Sat afternoon.

Watching The Open on NBCSports. Looks like the outage area includes TV8's tower.

Wow. We had some friends over (Indians) and one guy brought his parents. We had one stretch of straight line winds and held up fine. A small tornado passed through last fall and knocked down trees 90 feet away. I just got back from the river to try to tie off the bridge. There was a break in the rain.

I'm just amazed. Parts of the river that were 15' across are now 60'+. Haven't had power since last night, but there (was) scotch. I'm going to spend another night simply for the entertainment. The road in was 6" deep in water.

It's weird. Watching the time condensed map over the last 2 hours the storms keep rolling into the west coast and seem to sorta stop and stay there.
