Absolutely miserable out here. Had to go to a family function and almost had a heat stroke. Got in the pool and the water barely cooled me off. Also like an idiot I forgot to put on my sun hat in the pool so my bald circle got burnt on the back of my scalp.

I was considerate of all my neighbors dogs and any vets with ptsd. I only lot a few large sparklers. No whistling bottle rockets and nothing that explodes.

You’re a good man, Steve. I wish some of my neighbors were as thoughtful. It’s calming now, but 9pm - 11:30 pm was tough on my pup, and I know a couple of the neighbor dogs get even more anxious than mine does.

To be honest I don’t even like fireworks. When I was a kid a string of black cats was more precious to me than Ltc is to Ty. I remember seeing someone light off a string of them and I was like what a waste. I used to untie them and blow up one by one. Used to blow up so many pop bottles, pop cans and gi joe figures. Had to make that shit last.

meh - I keep the front lawn fairly well manicured (I suspect the neighbors would talk, otherwise).

the backyard I let get a little shaggy from time to time. It's pretty shaggy now. I think I'm just gonna rage mow it.
