Question for well system experts...
...are two-line jet pumps outdated, or are they perfectly fine?
Edit: I know from 247 that anybody not on municipal water is impoverished and entirely backwoods.

Sorry. Can't help you. 247 also recommends not to interact with woodspeople.

They're perfectly fine.
If you're a true backwoodsman with a well you'll know to keep a .22 handy in case your screen gets plugged.

Do you think it is worth it to drop the coin on a submersible?

What if doomsday comes in the form of Godzilla? You'll get crushed.

I had to have a submersible on my farm because of Grade A regulations but I prefer pumps you can work on/replace yourself. So personally I think it's more $$ and not as desirable.

That's a good point about working on it yourself. I need to replace a two-line pump and thought about upgrading, but wasn't sold on the idea. Is performance significantly better?
