I heard similar stories from a former DL under Duffy (just after the glory years). Not about the drawer, but just that everyone was getting something back then and no one cared. The comment was in the context of how we got ratted out by coaches that were doing the same.

On a different note, a comment from the same guy that I'll always remember, when something came up about Rudy (IIRC, I was watching an MSU-ND game with him and they showed a picture of Rudy). He started laughing about what an overhyped joke that is, that every school had Rudy (more than one), and that of course ND would turn it into some miraculous part of their history. He didn't even mention that Rudy was offside.

Yeah, I remember one summer they wanted my dads bank account. He had to pay Hans Nielsen to paint our house. It was a grand. Our house was shingles. Good summer work if you could get it I guess.

Aren’t most shingles houses painted though? I mean, except for those coastal homes in New England.

Kind of noticed there was two college football games today. After New Years day if it’s not the championship game is anyone really watching? Seems like a huge waste of natural resources.

I actually just checked the bowl schedule I must have seen a replay game today. I definitely saw the potato bowl on tv last week and another one that I don’t even remember the name of. I agree with you wrap this shit up already.
