Who has convinced women that coloring their hair is a good look?

I’m not talking about traditional hair coloring. I’m talking about coloring swaths of hair in pink, green, purple, etc that washes out in like 2 weeks. I see women at my daughters school and it looks ridiculous. Half ass washed out and dumb. Am I being grumpy old man about it? God I swear, this “look at me culture”...

I thought most of the colors had different meanings. Green or purple meant something a couple of years ago. I also know that dying hair white was in for a little while, or maybe it still is. Pink in November makes sense as that is Breast Cancer awareness.

Green and white hair also makes sense.

Kind of related I have a friend that is dating someone that is non-binary and I don't even know how I'm supposed to refer to them. You say one wrong pronoun and it's like stepping on a land mine. I feel like have to think really hard about what I'm saying when I'm around them. At any rate I feel like this is a trend right now and I only mention because a lot of the people in that crowd has some very interesting hair colors.

I am admittedly judgmental. A common observation on my part is that a good percentage of these “I want to do what the kids these days are doing” types is that they appear to have thought they may have been somewhat of a “big deal” in their high school days.

Also I’d like to note that my dad never felt the need to walk around with his shoes untied, ripped izod shirts, holes in his jeans, the tongue out on his tennis shoes, or a comb in his back pocket.

I’ve never advocated they can’t do it or need my approval. I simply commented on something they did to get noticed. So I noticed. Kinda seems like some parents have trended to try and look or do things their teenagers find popular. I just think it’s odd.

It’s actually a good idea. When you’re young and tats look good on your body the bewbs are perky and uplifted so you can see it. As they get older and gravity takes over, they sag and cover it up.
