I'm to the "this is freaking irritating cause I don't know WTF is going on" point... hope it turns soon.

I gave up on that after 20 minutes. Too much Michael Bay.
Great way of putting it. Halfway through with Mrs. GreenWay and she wants to keep watching. I’m hoping she forgets we still need to finish. Of course, there are times when I hope she forgets she needs to finish in other areas of our leisure time, too.

Anybody here check out Project Blue Book last year on History Channel? I guess season 2 starts tonight, but this is the first I'm hearing about it. It's got Tommy Carcetti chasing UFOs for the Air Force back in the 40s/50s.

There’s not two timelines. It’s jumping all over the place over the course of 50 or so years. It’s trying to set up the linear portion of the story which will start next season. Not the best way to do it in my opinion. It’s confusing even for me who is familiar with the story. Good acting, good visuals, I hope the storytelling gets better.

Has anyone brought up "Don't fuck with cats" documentary on netflix? Pretty crazy so far.
Guy posts a film of him killing two kittens. a group of internet sleuths slowly start putting together where this guy could be from. They break down every bit of his room form light sockets to a bed spread to a yellow vacuum on the floor to a cig he had smoked, and tried to narrow it down. Pretty amazing because they beleive he will turn into a serial killer. At one point a troll posts a fake video and takes credit for him burning a kitten to death, they find this guy out, who his real name is, and he commits suicide. Mean time the original guy has now posted a video of him cutting the head off of human being in his apartment. I left off there. It's a real documentary and they're at the point where they know the guys name and he's now flying around the world eluding them. So much more than what I just said, but it's a group that came together over outrage of the two kittens he killed and posted it on the internet and then became sleuths. Amazing how they break things down.
Don't fuck with cats. It's worth a look.

that was a very interesting documentary that finishes amazingly and then asks some really pointed questions of the audience. highly recommend - but it is not for the squeamish.

I mean you can make a real movie out of it. The documentary is amazing. I’ll finish it tonight. But holy cow. Very impressed with that Facebook group that started investigating. Not so impressed when everyone started to join it and outed the troll who ended up committing suicide.

To be sure guys, a human being also gets his head cut off. But what’s weird is you don’t feel as horrified and sick as you do about the two kittens.

The guy who commits suicide does it by beheading himself? Or is this some other beheading?

I know, and I’ve been thinking about my own emotional response to that, about why I’m more, I don’t know, horrified about the cruelty and killing of animals than the person who is beheaded. All I can come up with is it’s because animals have no idea why such terrible things are being done to them. They’re as innocent as anything there is, and that would include children and babies, especially those whose parents take pictures of them wearing u-m clothing.

The guy who commits suicide had depression problems. For some reason he took credit for burning a kitten. The Facebook group who had been sleuthing the original bastard who had killed two kittens swarmed over this guy who was outed fairly easy. They all sent some really shitty threatening texts email etc to him. He committed suicide. The original animal killer in the meantime was graduating to human beings as many serial killers do. Start with animals move to humans. So his human victim is drugged and beheaded.

Oh shit, I didn't know the guy moved on to humans. Logical next step for animal killers. I just didn't know he progressed that far.
But yeah, I'm gonna pass on this show. I even stopped watching that shitty Butterfly Effect movie when that deranged kid was going to burn a puppy in a sack, or whatever the fuck he was planning on doing.

For Succession. I don't relate to him but somehow in my mind, I see a Kendall as the protagonist. I have no idea why but I'm rooting for him and I like him better than any of the other siblings or characters. Even if he plays Miles Bridges out of position.

So, I just paid 394 dollars for my comcast bill. I don't know how to cut the cable but this was the last straw. Gonna start by dropping the security system. Does anyone know if that Ring system is a monthly cost or is it just a one time deal? I'm going to Comcast on Monday. Fucking ay. 394. I looked at my daily balance and I thought I was hacked. Panicked. Pissed beyond belief.

With Ring, if you want video recording, it is $30 per year. There's also a $100 per year option that allows unlimited number of cameras and product protection. But if you don't want it to record, therea no charge, and you still get motion and doorbell alerts, and you can do live views. I would think anyone would want the recording, but the cost is nominal.DWags wrote:So, I just paid 394 dollars for my comcast bill. I don't know how to cut the cable but this was the last straw. Ring is a yearly cost, but it depends on how many products you have. You might be better off going to Best Buy for some home consulting.

Check out Wyze cams, depending upon what you want to do. I've got one for my front door, sends me notifications if anyone shows up, pretty much like ring except you need a power supply other than your doorbell wiring.

I have two Wyze cameras linked to my Google Home system, and a Ring video doorbell and floodlight connected to each other.
I also have a Wyze smart plug, hooking another one up when we go to Disney, as they have vacation mode timers on them. Really comes in handy.
We have a Nest thermostat and smart lock which kick ass, too.

I tend to agree. Solid movie but not the amazing masterpiece I was expecting.
The movie got better as it went on, in my eyes. That scene when he's running through the town and the flares are going off trying to kill him... wow.

I pretty much agree with this. I'm a bit of a history buff on this period and WWI was a horror that should never be downplayed and, you may not believe it, but I feel like the movie did that a bit.Death Roe wrote:kingstonlake wrote:Watched 1917

I still liked it and I'll watch it again when it hits streaming.
Sidenote: Saw it in a theater that has food and drink service through the show, damn that was annoying.
