I'm not bashing the kid and I wish him best of luck. More than anything I wish he'd stick around and become an All B1G guy for MSU. That said I'm not sure he was ever going to quite live up to his lofty recruiting ranking. He did not look like a prototypical OT to me. He was listed at 6'4 and you can pretty much always take an inch off of a player's listed height. In this case he did not look 6'4 at all, probably more like 6'2. And when he saw the field at the end of last year he was not good to put it mildly. OL need development and strength training, sure, but you would hope at a mediocre program like ours with an awful OL, that a kid who was at one point I believe a 5* could come in and contribute if not immediately, in year 2.

I just hope the relationship at Belleville doesn't sour because of Barnett and Dobbs. Still have some Belleville kids around, so that's good.

I'm just thankful for the run we had and that I got to enjoy first hand much of it. It's going to be a rebuild. I have zero expectations for next year. I do want to see improvement in discipline and fundamental play. We sucked at so many things this year. I know much of it was because new staff no spring or summer. I want to see what these guys can do. 6 wins would be great next year. But I have no expectations of it.
