Reminder that the racist, bigoted christian sexual predator wants and needs people to die... whether it's from the virus or in the form of violence in response to effective leadership.
It's why he refuses to test and support governors.. it's why he sews the seeds of violence. He has to make governors look bad so he can contrast that against his grotesque failures.

apparently some patriots who just want to {sniffle} go to work stormed the Capitol building this morning and were dragged out screaming and crying.

Being able to parade around the inside of a state capitol building with guns definitely shows me your liberties are in trouble.

This is real folks. Yes, the protests are real, but I'm talking about the threat to our way of life. I heard you can't buy new patio furniture. This has to stop.

I completely agree in principle, but I also feel pretty sure doing so would lead to violence, so I'm conflicted.

Apparently guns are actually allowed in the Capitol. No signs though.

At some point you have to draw a line, this is unacceptable and it's not going to be too far off before one of these nut jobs fires on an elected official.

Guns can't be in schools, gyms, bars, sporting events, courts... But the fucking capitol is fine?
Alternative take, everyone do the same.
Teachers with ARs, blm, trans gay lesbo, mental health rally... Union guys... Everyone bring the guns! (It is Michigan... They all probably could show up armed)

I'm sure they'd go quietly and lay down their arms. These aren't just law-abiding hunters, they are anti-government militias that hold serious grudges about Waco, Ruby Ridge, and so many other situations.
They think some seriously whacked out conspiracy shit.
Will this finally get people to take these "protests" seriously? They feel more like potential tests/recon missions than protests.

That one goon, carrying a gun, who kept shouting “black racist!!” at one point said “your days coming” as he pointed at a state trooper or one of the Sargent at arms. How are you not arrested at that point? I mean that’s a threat, right?

Well, those were like 50 years ago. Personally, I'm not in favor of risking massive blood shed in a state Capitol (or anywhere else) with many dead on both sides.
What I WOULD say is to beef up the armed presence at the Capitol in a defensive position and not let them in next time. Send in the national guard and they're the attacker, and the militia will be the victims. Set up in a defensive perimeter, not let them in, and make it so if things get ugly, the militia are the aggressor. They likely won't do that as they want to show the government as the overbearing aggressor attacking citizens, not the other way around.

Don't disagree. Keep 'em out of the State Capital. Also, there should be a penalty to be paid if you break the law even if you are open carrying. If this country is going to allow open carry that doesn't mean you get a pass from breaking the law. We have police and they need to enforce the laws to citizens armed or unarmed.

You can say 50 years ago all you want, but it is obvious that these folks are policed much differently than communities of color and other groups.
An unarmed BLM protest and police come out in riot gear. White people come out with guns and confront the police in a capitol building, and the police remain in uniform and simply form a line. So maybe not much has changed in 50 years. It wasn't too long that disabled protesters at the capitol in D.C. were dragged out and arrested.

BLM, disabled groups, etc. aren't part of an organized militia that are seriously preparing for what they believe will be open warfare against the US government, and in some cases, a UN-led world government.
BLM, disabled groups, etc., are not armed terrorists ready, willing, and able to open fire on authorities. They typically aren't armed at all.

That's the fucking point, Miami. White folks with guns get lenient policing while unarmed black people are met with police in riot gear. You would think it would be the other way around.

The MI GOP is tacitly letting the gun carrying extremists represent them.
The sheriff in Mason County thinks he’s the one to decide which laws to enforce.
I seriously believe the GOP wants to undo 2018 regardless of the long term costs.

Something to consider with potential violence is that now is not the best time for our ICUs to be bombarded with emergency patients (ie. shooting victims), especially if the dumbasses are impeding traffic around Sparrow.

I get the argument for not taking action but look at the time line events. First it was on the steps of the capital, now it’s on the floor of the capital. They are seeing how far they can go. Where’s the line?

Seriously? You want tough policing there? I'll take lenient policing where everyone goes home to their families as opposed to dozens killed and wounded over a threat. You're missing the point that it is because of the guns and not the color of the skin that they didn't arrest them. Not because the guns are ok, but because trying to arrest them would have resulted in a bloodbath with many lives lost on both sides. These are people who spend their lives preparing to fight an actual shooting war against the US government, and you think they're going to lay down their weapons and go quietly?

And in the process testing/reconning the response, so that they can plan what to expect if they should conduct more than a protest.
But to take action today makes the government the aggressor, and there's a very good chance it gets real ugly. Prepare instead for next time to stop them short and make them come through the police/national guard, which makes them the aggressor.
