Couldn't agree more. I think there's a lot of work to be done: one we gotta work to make sure we have a smooth election (see Georgia), that orange ass face actually leaves and last that the youngsters actually show up and vote.

Based on what’s just happened in Kentucky, it’s going to be hard to get a lot of voters to the polls for their Democratic Primary. The City of Louisville is going to have one polling site open.
The primary will select which Democrat faces Louisville native Mitch McConnell in November.

Forget young voters. Of course, still try to reach them, but just don't spend too much resources and expect them to show up and turn the tide. It isn't likely to happen, no matter how outraged they seem to be.
But there are many other groups who are more likely to turn out, which can flip the election.

Wouldn't surprise me if the incumbent gets to pick his/her successor in the coming years and all voting is banned.

I guess I'm old fashioned, but I for one would be extremely surprised, as it would mean a successful coup with the unorganized militia-types with a few AR-15s defeating the very professional, exceptionally trained and exceptionally armed United States military.
But that's just me.

Republicans are already doing their best to take away the vote. A few more years of them being in charge and they might just succeed without any military involvement.

Gerrymandering and some of the voter suppression that you're talking about is an awful long way from disbanding the Supreme Court, voiding the Constitution, and locking up opponents, none of which is going to happen without military involvement. Which doesn't mean it is impossible, and as I had mentioned the other day in this thread, I think it is wise to consider various scenarios in order to be on guard from letting them happen. But it would very much surprise me if any attempts were successful in taking it as far as you suggest.

After thinking about it, invalidating mail in ballots isn't too far fetched. That might be the weapon of choice, especially since that seems to be the way we're heading and Trump is already all over that scenario.

That wouldn't surprise me, though they wouldn't be able to ivalidate them AFTER the election has taken place (he'd never win that in the Supreme Court without real, actual proof). It was the idea of banning voting that would more than surprise me.

Georgia suppressing the vote right out in the open. National disgrace and people across all party lines should be outraged.

Pence defends the non-social distancing, non-mask wearing rallies as "Freedom of speech and the right to peacefully assemble are the cornerstones of this country" or something to that effect.
Wow, they're really going to use that of all reasoning....in these times....after Trump threatened to send in the US military against those peacefully assembling, and the immediately proceeded to have brownshirts....err, I mean police and other forces, violently attack peaceful protestors so that he could do a photo op. The fucking gall to try to co-opt the first amendment argument at this stage after everything Trump has said and done over the last month.

This is hilarious. It's like a real life Del Boca Vista. And you thought it was bad when Morty was trying to keep Frank out, or when Jack Klompas got Morty impeached?

If they would just stop testing, they wouldn't have any STDs.

The Russian bounty thing is starting to pick up steam. Starting to wonder if the cowardly Rs might see they are fighting a losing battle with Cheeto and try to replace him. Probably not. But a lot has changed since the impeachment trial.

Hard to predict this one. No one on the right seems to care about any Russian scandal but we shall see.

Some Republicans are already starting to hedge their bets a little. Ultimately, their priority is themselves, they need Trump supporters on their side, while also not wanting to completely alienate anti-Trump independents (and let's not pretend like Dems don't hedge their bets based on the mood among their constituents).
But things keep backfiring for Trump, and his polls keep going down. More are going to have to think about distancing themselves from him.

I do think this Russian scandal will cost him the votes of the troops. Also, I see more and more people on fb that are done with Trump that voted for him in 16. Only game he’s got left is cheating and voter suppression.

In response, Biden should just run one of Tevor Noah's compilations of Trump Words (search "Trevor Noah Trump Words" on youtube, if anyone hasn't seen it).
