Friday night resumption of play? 2 games each night? More? We have 8 games this round.

First two matchups are the only 2 I've thought about line-wise.

Lakers (Wake) at Pelicans (Me). These teams are 2 points apart in the ratings but much more in real life and in the standings. The biggest thing to me is, I don't know how NO is going to score. Zion or no Zion, you have AD and McGee or Dwight Howard in the paint, and only one guy on the Pels can shoot worth a lick (Redick) and he comes off of the bench. I had to take the approach when thinking about this, at what number would I take the Pels? They are my team so I want them to advance, and I would want to take them in a wager. I would not take them at 10. Or 11. Or 12. 13.5 is the number. And I still don't want them at 13.5 but I think I would say too much value. Total is low on this one due to lack of scoring threat from NO. 89.5.

Second game is Nuggets (OTPT) at GSW (Cam). I have to say I think the lower seeded team is better and should be a decent fave. I've played with GSW a bit and I just think Steph is such a game changer, having him out there. Klay and Dray are underrated in this game (78 for Draymond is a joke), but Steph in the game is like real life Steph and he can hit from anywhere and drop 30+ easy. Denver is weird in this game in that they have guys off the bench that are rated quite a bit better, who play much less than guys who start. Like our guy Gary, who starts and is like a 74 or something terrible (Gary has really regressed, shooting-wise). I see a high scoring game with potential for a Dubs blowout. GSW -5.5, 111.5

Edit. I think that total is too high in the first game. Don't see NO getting to 40. Changing from 93.5 to 89.5.

Yeah I don't think it matters much but who knows. The ratings go 8 deep for a reason. Warriors seemingly fall off a cliff after Wiggins but if you look at their first 3 off the bench they're rated not much different than Dray (again a joke). And I believe Gary would be bottom 3 of the combined top 16 of both rosters and he starts. Dubs are nice in this game. Gotta think, 2 of their first 3 off the bench are Looney and Paschall. Those guys aren't trash.

I'll offer a ML despite zero upside for me. Let me get at a lookup table tomorrow. I'll try to make some lines on the other games, too.

Yeah see I just looked again and G $$ is the Nuggets 9th(!) rated player. He's gotta be among the worst 2k rated starters in the entire game. Warriors fall off a cliff from spots 8 to 9. Depth isn't going to be much of a factor here.

Biggest factor imo - 2 guys who can make shots from anywhere beyond the halfcourt stripe on one team. Joker on the other.

Frankly OTPT my luck is so bad (and this is not a new phenomenon, ask Nordic) that I would go big stakes on this, and it would be the 1/8 times or whatever that Dubs draw the short string and lose. Similarly to what happened in the Mavs/Hawks matchup. I see Dubs as a better team with their current roster. But what do I know?

Honestly i kind of regret not taking the dubs but my loyalty got to me and i had to go nugs. When you say big stakes what do you mean? I do get paid this week. 2nd round do we up the ante?

Game 3 line. From my observations Toronto is pretty damn good in this game and Kyle Lowry is unstoppable. They force a lot of TOs for TDs. Utah lacks the firepower to stay with them. Toronto -6, total of 101.5

Game 4 line. Having a hard time with this one. KD is unstoppable but so is Dame and you know who is way overrated and really good in this game? Whiteside. Deandre Jordan comes off the bench for Brooklyn so Whiteside will dominate Jarrett Allen. It's going to come down to Portland's shooting. Nets could win by 20 but wouldn't be surprised if Portlant pulls an upset, either. Brooklyn -5.5/118.5
