Spartans look completely lost at that position. You don't think Hoggard is going to find more minutes on the floor? Also, Rocket asked to be moved over to the 2 spot so I'm guessing we see more Hoggard. Don't know about 30 minutes but we shall see.

Maybe Coach realized things change. I mean, if Saban can come around to accepting high scoring games are what wins, Izzo can give a first year PG more minutes. Hoggard’s potential upside >>>> Loyer’s typical game. High risk, high reward.

Ultimately this is the correct take, but if you are going to run your offense through Loyer he's gotta be able to score in the offensive sets or create a shot. Seems like most of the time he hits a shot is after an offensive board when the play is broken up a bit and no one is on him. Either that or what's next? Run the offense through Hauser?

To be clear, because some of you seem to have a habit of extrapolating different meanings than intended, I have zero insight or advice or preference. I suspect that Izzo is indeed going to give Hoggard more minutes at the 1, but my guess is that he's not going to turn the keys over. I was not trying to call out Wags just saying, Izzo probably gonna Izzo. My guess for minute split at the 1 would be something like 18/12/10 Foster/AJH/RW. Just a guess. Maybe we even see Henry get some minutes there.

I do think Loyer can give them more at the 1 than he has to date. He does need to be a threat other than strictly a spot up shooter. My take is that he's still getting his confidence back after a couple of years of tough love. He doesn't need to do much, he just needs to be able to pump fake and hit mid range jumpers at the elbow. More than capable and would open up a lot of things.

Excited to see what the Hogg man brings. Sounds like Mady is going to get more minutes, as well.
