NEW YORK (AP) — Omicron has raced ahead of other variants and is now the dominant version of the coronavirus in the U.S., accounting for 73% of new infections last week, federal health officials said Monday.

I would think they'll play without fans before cancelling. Lot of money at stake. And both schools have vaccine mandates, I believe, so every player and staff should be vaxxed.

This still has to undergo trial phases 2 and 3, but early signs look good for this vaccine that will work against ALL coronaviruses, including current and future variants, and past SARS viruses.

NFL would be more at risk with smaller rosters, but teams will find a way to play. Dip into that practice squad, sign some scabs. Also easier to cancel/postpone one out of 85 games NHL/NBA games than an NFL game.

Maybe a small bowl could get whacked. But not a bigger bowl. 85+ man rosters, next man up. And there is no way the city/State/Peach Bowl is going to cancel.

Too much money involved.

Officials said the data in the microchip is encrypted and does not use GPS, so it cannot be used to track employees or obtain private information. The company hopes the microchips eventually can be used on everything from air travel to public transit and storing medical information.

Professor Jeremy Hajek of the Illinois Institute of Technology said microchipping started years ago with veterinarians implanting the device in dogs and cats that might get lost.

"And so there's a little bit of a... demeaning factor that this is what they do to little animals," Hajek said.

But Noelle Chesley, an associate professor of sociology at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, said she thinks implanting microchips into employees — and all people — is the wave of the future.

Except my sister who normally would be the first one on the call. Well she showed up about 15 minutes in. From a hospital room on the covid floor at Troy Beaumont. She has covid and pneumonia.

I'm beyond exhausted with this fucking shit.

We are all tired of this and hope everyone recovers, especially your sister in the hospital.

We got together with one of my kid's families, along with the spouse's parents for Thanks-Giving but everyone mostly stayed home out of caution for Christmas.

Thinking we might have a family get together, outdoors, in the summer.
