My boss is a couple years younger than me but goes to the printer many times a day...toner prints pretty much everything and has stacks of paper on his desk. I consider printing to pdf one of the best inventions of all time...no filing cabinets required.

That said, our company's electronic filing system is totally fucked up doing $80-100M in business. Permissions have not been set. Anyone with access to network drives can dump any meaningless shit into the root of those drives. For instance, our HR person somehow put a friend of the court document about a shop employee in the root of a main drive many people from different departments look at every day. It's been there for about a month.

Since moving into the new building we have state-of-the-art hardware and software. Our IT guy is good but doesn't seem to understand our business. Not all his fault. Even the head honcho's don't understand the importance of internal folder/file security.

Dark day when a fried fish place doesn't have tartar sauce. Did they at least offer fresh lemon or malt vinegar ?

Watched the front end of Ghostbusters a week ago, and that particular line made me laugh for the obvious-to-us-now reason. Egon was prescient. Truly a man ahead of his time. Still can’t believe he’s gone. RIP to Harold Ramis.

I'm certain he doesn't know and the content is not a big deal. Could delete it myself (I shouldn't be able to do that on a main network drive, but can) but leaving it there as example for when I get upper management's attention to their lackluster care of our network. Have tried before on levels. Might have to take it to the CEO.
