Yards are a better overall indicator for a defense. Points can be skewed by a lot of things. Rodgers' 3 picks (at the Lions 5, 1, and 22). Giants 3 turnovers (Lions 14 points off turnovers). Bears scored 30. Bills scored 28. Lions give up ~27 on average. Dead last. Jags are the only real outlier. I expect Cousins and the Vikings to put up 30+.

If 1 game against the Jags is playing better, then sure. I don't think relying on turnovers to bail out your shitty defense, or your offense to win shootouts, is a winning strategy. This is Lions we're talking about.

Look im not saying the defense is the best in the league. But they have been looking markedly better in recent weeks (have you watched the games or are you just looking at ypg?) people like you have been whining for years about late round draft picks for years- they have two late round rookies that are playing well. The top of the draft guys are looking good too.

So yeah there’s improvement to be made of course, but over the last month they’re 4-1, one loss to the bills in the last minute, and the defense has looked serviceable over that span.

He's a dang 2 time pro-bowl and 1 time super bowl qb. Just because he doesn't have the sports radio approval (ie dumbasses) doesn't mean he isn't worthwhile.

He's adequate to win with. Load up on D. I would not spend a 1st round pick on a QB this year. I not convinced Shroud or Young are upgrades and the bust odds are high. Take the best available players on D. Less risk.

Williams (2024 draft) and Maye (2025 draft) are the only two QBs that would start over with. These two are surefire studs IMO.

Draft a qb, don’t draft a qb, I don’t care, but with Detroit’s much improved O-line, you’re right to say Goff has a lot left in his body to give. Not sure about 10 years, but, barring an injury, he’s got many more paychecks coming.

They’ve been known for getting rid of all of their picks for years. If all that had to show for that was being 3-9 and a second round loss I’d imagine there’d be heads rolling.
