My 2019 F150 regularly gets 99+ mpg on the highway. There's a stretch of the highway that has a slight decline to it that I drive every day on my way home from the office. If I take my foot off the gas the truck tells me I'm getting 99+ mpg.

Yes, I have. Range to empty will be in the high 500s to low 600s. I drive 500 and fill up because I don’t like running. It much below 1/4 tank. Average fuel economy reads somewhere between 24-26. All time best was 26.4.

Okay, your right, In the review I read only talked about one V8, didn't realize there were two, and would have assumed you had the bigger anyway, as you are towing at 75 mph.

So, the smaller 8 - 5.7L, EPA Sticker - fuel economy 17 mpg combined / 22mpg highway on the EPA sticker

So maybe, at a stretch, 20 highway .... The numbers still fall short, and if you are towing, way short.

I can easily go 500-525+ miles on a single tank and still have a bit in reserve for my "range anxiety." Maybe it's inaccurate? Maybe the factory secretly installed a 30 gallon extended range experimental tank in my Jeep and forgot to remove it before selling it? Maybe space aliens are using advanced technology to teleport me?

Or maybe you just need to admit you were wrong and RQA was right.

I have no idea the average gallons per minutes of a gas pump. If what RQA posted was true, then we're well within that timeframe. If you've got stats to prove him wrong, I suggest you take that up with him when he's done laughing at your stupidity in this thread.

Your computer has dropped off the fuel it used to warm up the engine and the fuel it used to accelerate to 75 mph, and the rest depends on air temperature (lower mpg at cold temps), barometric pressure (lower mpg at lower pressure), wind direction (15 mph tail wind helps the mpg), and humidity (higher humidity causes higher PSI in engine per power stroke).

It is meaningless as the absolute number you think it is.

I'm going follow you guys and say I have been at gas stations where it took 10 minutes to pump 10 gallons. It varies, and the specs are more like guidelines, not absolutes.

For a significant part of the vehicle market, BEV's that are being sold today meet the needs of the users.

We have readily agreed that BEV's don't, currently, meet the needs of all users, just as every ICE doesn't meet the needs of users.

The first in interesting as this vehicle is intended to have a never charge version, it will be interesting to see if they pull this off.  Clearly a 3 wheeled vehicle will have difficulty with market acceptance except in a Nitch.

BMW iX xDrive40 - Range 260 miles, charging time 30 minutes

Of course, home charging is always an option, which ICE's just don't typical do, and home chargers will recharge 100% overnight.

The BMW's are 2022 vehicles and should be on the roads already.

edit - also saw a article, which I am not linking, about how the market for home chargers for vehicles is expanding rapidly.  One point I'm not really seeing discussed on this board is how for local markets, home charging will reduce the number of changing stations needed to support the BEV fleets. Most suburbanites have garages with outlets, and smart chargers will use off-peak electricity to reduce costs. Most homes do not have on site fuel storage, beyond maybe a 2-gallon gas can for the lawnmower and snowblower. It is different out on the farms where I live, but the farm population is a pretty small slice of the overall population.
