What is the boards real issue, as it looks like this is been ongoing for some time?

Seems odd that if it is a battle between the University Administration which is fighting for tighter Title IX guidelines and the board, she is on the wrong side, if Title IX is the issue.

MSU’s biggest rival is MSU.

To be fair to our little sister school in A2 their last two Presidents were clowns, one of whom was fighting with their board while bonking his PA.

Why the MSU BoT is all over Stanley is still a mystery.

I'm gonna vote for the BoT candidate that wants to end the mask mandate on campus.

When you thought the MSU BOT couldn’t harm the university any more than it did by sitting on their hands while LAKS’ underlings failed to report concerns about Larry Nasser and Dean of the Osteopathic School of Medicine Dr Strample because LAKS landed the FRIB to get located on campus, they did t.

This time by making things untenable for the now former university president by getting legal opinions supporting their power grab and essentially wanting to transfer what have been in the pervue of the university President now giving the BOT oversight of pretty much anything the next MSU president does.

Was a time when a solid majority of BOT members wanted what was best for MSU. I fear there are factions of the board wanting MSU to become Hillsdale North.

This is a good summary. Seems like a pretty open and shut case of a board over stepping. I'd definitely sign a petition/vote to get these positions out of the political realm. Political hacks shouldn't be anywhere near management of a university. Need professionals.

These dbags on the board are the equivalent of the current members of the house in Lansing. Just political hacks trying to be relevant. Be seen at the state party meetings... All of a sudden they are running for something they have no idea the scope of.

It was a good summary. I'm not sure what was "wow" worthy though. It has all pretty much been discussed. For those that have not been following, it is a great summary to get caught up. But dwags/duffy ya'll have been following it, what was "wow" or "double wow" worthy that has not already been discussed. Your comments made it sound like there was something new.

I think the point that this is a single summary that helps in simplifying the whole mess is the WOW factor.

I’m personally not buying everything this guy is selling, but as an administrator who lived through a school board that was very overreaching, I can tell you it takes the wind out of all the educators sails. I mean we had a board who wanted a Supe fired over a personal grudge. Also members thinking they could just pop into teachers rooms and observe and evaluate them. They wanted to be in in every decision in the school not as the support for the superintendent THEY picked. Was toxic as hell.
